Operating in the Glory of God

The distinctiveness of God in creation is the glory He gave each of the things He created. It doesn’t matter whether they are classified as living things or not. There are myriads of plants and flowers in the world, but they do not carry the same appearance and beauty; so also are living things like birds, beasts, fishes and humans. You would agree that you’ve seen various handsome men and beautiful women at different times, but their beauty are not the same. In other words, it can be said that the glory of a thing is the beauty of that thing. The good God that created us all is full of glory, because the Lord’s life and splendor can be seen in all things. The vibration and liveliness in each thing belongs to God; just as it was written that the ‘‘whole earth is full of His glory,’’ (Isaiah 6:3, NIV).

Now, walking in the glory of God as a man created in the image of God transcends the physical beauty or that which we can see with our naked eyes. God sees the beauty He made us with but He’s not moved by that because He’s a Spirit. God is interested that men should walk in the glory of the spiritual. That is, the greatness and power He released to all humans through His Son Jesus Christ. That power was revealed in the coming of the Holy Spirit.

The first thing needed to walk in the glory of God is to believe in the Lord Jesus as the Lord and Savior of our soul which automatically makes us become children of God, (John 1:12). Becoming sons and daughters of God through belief in Jesus is an operation of the Spirit (God’s spiritual decision), not of flesh and blood (physical). This is just because God wants to elevate us. When God sees us, He sees someone who has the right to walk in the same glory He is walking in. You may want to ask that how? Open the scriptures and take a look at the prayers of Jesus in John 17:20-26, but take note of verse 22 which says, ‘‘and the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one. So you can see that the thought of the Lord to us is good. Jesus wants His disciples to have the same glory that His Father has given to Him so that we can be joined together as one.
When all these have been understood, and we have become children of God, then we should continue in truthful fellowship. We should become bold in faith, knowing that we can alter and destroy the works of the enemy through our prayers to God. The primary reason of our fellowship and spiritual service to God is so that we can operate from the spiritual realm to become consistently victorious over the devil. Our service to God in constantly bringing out fruits of the Spirit makes God trust us more with His glory and He supports us by giving us more authority in the Spirit. Finally, in order to walk in the glory of God, we must seek the glory of God. That is, we must seek the gifts of the Spirit. The gifts of the Spirit are the things which makes us different from ordinary people, because in them, the glory and power of God are revealed through us. Therefore, you must remember to ask, seek and knock so that you can receive (Matthew 7:7).
