Power of the Blood of Jesus

In the spiritual settings, Christianity is a world on its own. This signifies that Christianity contains many things and knowledge that may not be known totally unless it is revealed by the Spirit of the one who laid down the foundation of Christianity. And talking about the Spirit of the one who laid down the foundation, we are talking about the Spirit of God. This is the reason that it was said by Apostle Paul that the Spirit searches the deep things of God, (1 Corinthians 2:10). So it is those who position themselves to learn in the school of God that understand more things about the realm of God. Now, if Christianity is filled with knowledge to be learned, then it means there are many subjects therein. And one of those subjects is the power of the blood of Jesus Christ. As regards this subject, it is not impossible for some Christians to be reserved about it, and this is because they do not believe or cannot prove that the blood of Jesus can be used as a weapon that contains power. There are also some who like to generate controversies on subjects they do not understand because they are too rigid and not flexible to learn the things of the Spirit.

Well, the blood of Jesus does contain power, and it is still working for all who are named as children of God. How is it still working? It is still working because it was through the shedding of the blood of Jesus that we Christians have salvation. The blood of Jesus now reigns in the New Covenant for the salvation of men as against the blood of bulls, goats and pigeons that was formerly used in the Old Covenant. This is the first work that the blood of Jesus did; the blood was shed when Jesus was tortured and killed on the cross, and God saw it. The blood was the blood of a pure man who knew no sin and who wasn’t born by the mating of man and woman. So, the blood of Jesus has power to save from sin and the evils of sin. And this was how Jesus became the Mediator of the New Covenant because his blood speaks better things than the blood of Abel that was killed by Cain his brother, (Hebrews 12:24, Genesis 4:10). The blood of Abel cried for vengeance, while the blood of Jesus speaks for mercy.

So, you can see that blood has a voice, but the voice which the blood of Jesus speaks supersedes the voices of every other blood, and that is why we can be saved and called Christians, hence, his blood seals the covenant of peace between God and men.

Moreover, you must have read in the scriptures where it was written that the adversary, the devil was overcame by the blood of the lamb and by the word of testimony (Revelation 12:11). The blood of the Lamb is the blood of Jesus by which the believers overcame the dragon (devil) in the book of Revelation. The blood of the Lamb has given us victory over the devil and salvation from sin, and it is needed that we remember this truth often. If we forget, then it means we are losing our faith or we have lost our faith, but as long as we remember, our faith is intact and we continue to proclaim the truth in our minds and with our mouth that we are saved because it is the word of God and the testimony that God has given us.

So, when you see someone praying and using the blood of Jesus as a weapon of victory over illness, unwanted situation, cleansing etc. The person hasn’t fallen out of truth, because the person is declaring the true testimony of God by using the blood of sprinkling that established the New Covenant, which is the blood of Jesus over his situation. So, having known all these facts, you too can begin using the blood of Jesus often as a covering from harm and as a weapon to flush out any evil anytime you pray, and the power in the blood will heed your words because the blood of Jesus is a life giver. Amen.
