Text: Exodus 33:18-23
Introduction: We can often ask ourselves the question: why did God create us? What is the purpose? What do the scriptures say? The scriptures emphasize that all things were created for the glory of God. The Word of God revealed to us that even nature itself glorifies God. The Bible says in Psalm 19:1 that “The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims His handiwork.”
What Is God’s Glory?
The glory of God refers to what He is, all His attributes, His greatness, that is, His glory. This is the glory we need. And by the way, it’s a glory we can receive.
Now, when Isaiah 6: 3 says that an angel cries to another: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts,” he then says, “All the earth is full of …” You might have expected him to say “Holiness”, but he does not say that. He says, “Glory.”
Thus, the glory of God is the radiance of His holiness, the radiance of His multiple perfections, infinitely worthy and valuable perfections.
In the book of Isaiah 43: 7, the Bible made us understand that God created us for His glory. In the context of the other verses, we can say that man “glorifies God” because through man we can see the glory of God. We are the vessels that “contain” His glory.
What are the levels of the glory of God?
“There is one glory of the sun, another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for a star is different from another star in glory.”(1 Corinthians 15:41 NKJ)
God has called us to participate in His glory in Christ Jesus. When we were born again, we were immersed in the nature of God in Christ, and Christ is the glory of God (Heb. 1: 2-3). We are born in the glory of God as soon as we accept Jesus as our Savior. ,
Each believer, therefore, shines in the light of the glory of God as the stars of heaven. The Lord expects that now, on earth, we will gradually increase in glory until our light is fully enlightened, completely Christ on earth. We are all at a certain level of glory in our spiritual lives, as stated in 1 Cor. 15:41 – The last part says that “a star is different from another star in glory.”
The degree of glory in which you live at this time is determined by your resemblance to the life of Christ. Remember that Christ is the glory of God. Our personal experience of the life of Christ and the expression of His person through us determine our level of glory. His call to glory includes both His experience of divine nature and His expression of that nature.
For example, God is never broken, sick, depressed. Instead, there is abundant joy in His presence. Your call to glory is to share and enjoy the life God is living. In this way, you become an expression of His person, like the light shining on the earth right now!
Let the glory of God in your life be brighter and brighter day by day. (Prov. 4:18).
The Importance of God’s Glory
The glory of God is our defense. It is our cover, which is a refuge from all storms.
You need to understand that when you live for the glory of God, your perspective will change for the better. The bigger you size it, the happier your soul will be. It’s a little difficult to glory to God and be angry at the same time. When you live in the glory of God, your body and mind are transformed.
As we give glory to God, we rise above our situation, no matter how dark it may be. We begin to forget our problems and put them into perspective. God gives us grace, love, and mercy and that is why we give Him all glory.
How to Access God’s Glory
In order to gain access to the glory of God, you must seek God, pray to God, cry to God, and surrender to God. Do it right, but give glory to God in all aspects of your life.
If you are too preoccupied with your own problems, when are you planning to do God’s honor? A deadlock in your journal just won’t work. You need to be concerned that glory becomes the main event of your life because it makes a big difference in your walk with Christ.
Glory is everywhere. When you focus on the glory of God, your problems are no longer at the centre of your life. When you realize that God is first and we are here briefly give him the glory he so deserves, your perspective becomes clearer and easier.
The Outcome of God’s Glory
When you glorify God, your relationships begin to change for the better. You will begin to see the love of God reflected in the people around you. When you glorify God through your work, you begin to be more proud because it is not just about doing a job, but doing a job that honors God.
When you glorify God with your body, your body does not do what you want. Your body is transformed into a sacred temple of God to be used to honor him and remain pure for him. A clean body used to glorify God is like a beautiful house in which you feel at peace. Who would not want that?
Giving glory to God in every area of your life benefits your body, mind, and soul and brings out the best in you.
In conclusion, everything in this world brings back to God and his glory. So, when it’s dark, set this switch to glory. You need to rise above that situation of yours and give God the glory! Fight for the right and give glory to God! Do what it takes to make the most of a bad situation and give glory to God with all that!
The more you glorify God, the more your attitude changes for the better no matter what is going on around you.
