It is coming to the end of the first half of the year and by now, many people will be taking stock and planning ahead for the second half of the year.
As we take stock, it is good to thank the Almighty God for His mercy every day of the year.
Yes, the bible says in the book of Lamentations 3:22-23 that,
“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;[a], his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”
Indeed His faithfulness is great. You have made it this far.
Not only that but we also know that he has great plans for our future.
11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11
God is a great planner.
He has gone ahead of us into the future by putting good plans in place for us.
He is a loving Father.
3 See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. 1 John 3:1
So, whatever plans you have for the next half of the year or even further than that, commit your way unto Him (God), trust also in Him and He will bring it to pass. Psalm 37:5
Even those things that may have been left unfinished this half year so far. Play your own part and trust Him.
Look ahead with great expectations, not trepidation. Do not worry about tomorrow.
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Matthew 6:34
God will fulfil His promises to you. But be thankful to Him. Show your gratitude to a loving, faithful and merciful as you prayerfully expect His good plans for you to unfold. In addition to thanking Him, show forth His Glory by testifying of His goodness in your life. You are chosen to show forth His great works.
But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 1 Peter 2:9.
In the book of Luke 17:11-19, the bible speaks about 10 lepers who were healed by Jesus. I will read from verse 15,
One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice. 16 He threw himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked him—and he was a Samaritan.
17 Jesus asked, “Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine? 18 Has no one returned to give praise to God except this foreigner?” 19 Then he said to him, “Rise and go; your faith has made you well.”
Be that person that comes back to give praise to God by the way that you live your life, through your good works, through your testimony.
Until next time, remain blessed.
